If you are in the Dallas - Fort Worth Area and seeking out other Machine Knitters, we urge you to come and join our group.

We hold meetings once a month at the Grapevine Public Library, a stone's throw from DFW International Airport. Meeting time is 10:30 am on the second Saturday of the month. We normally finish up by 1 PM.

We have all levels of knitters in our group from beginning to advanced. All machines are also represented.

Every month we have our program followed by a brief business meeting and  Show and Tell that is bound to inspire you. When you come, bring something that you have knitted to show us. It can be as simple as a swatch up to an entire garment!

Our January 2012 meeting featured Arlene as our demonstrator. She is developing a scarf idea for the Special Olympics. She showed us her idea for a no roll hem featuring several crochet rows, how to change colors for stripes, how to carry colors not in use up the edge of the knitting, and a back stitch bind off to match the e-warp cast on she started with. Then she showed how to use blocking wires and a blocking board to block our knits, and how to "kill" acrylic yarn to bring out the drape. Thank you Arlene for a great demo!

Our our next regular meeting will be February 11, 2012 at the Grapevine Public Library.  Faye will be demonstrating buttonhole techniques.

Don't forget your show and tell!
